My Interview!

MadelineLindsey: Hello Mary Everest Boole, how're you?
MaryEverest: I'm fantastic I am very excited to talk about my life today!
MadelineLindsey: I have wonder many things about you Mary. To start it off I know you have written many books, which was your first?
MaryEverest: Well Madeline, my first book was with my husband George. I contributed as an editor, and together we created the book "Law of Thought".
MadelineLindsey: Oh yes, that is a very interesting book. I also have heard how you had a job at 'Queens College' the first womens college in England.
MaryEverest: Yes. I was not able to teach, or recieve a degree because during that time women weren't able to. I took the job of a Librian. As more and more students came in I became unofficial the advisor of the students, and it made me relieaze how much that I love teaching! I was pretty good I believe. I began teaching children and with teaching them the head of education in London got ahold of me and told me that I was an outstanding teacher.
MadelineLindsey: That is amazing to me what you went through! And then you became a teacher which was not aloud for women. Its wonderful to think that the head of education in London came to you and told you of how your an outstanding teacher. Its inspiring.
MaryEverest: Its really great to hear that, thank you so much. Controversy struck over a book of mine which forced me to quit my job at the college.
MadelineLindsey: Wow, thats horrible to hear that. What do you do on from there?
MaryEverest: Well, I began working with James Hinton my fathers friend as a secretary. He really got me interest in evolution and also the arts of thinking. I began to think and believe that its possible to express all the basic notions of universe with sympols and numbers. As I got older I became more interested in the subjects James Hinton got me into. I then wrote my first book by myself called 'The Preparation of the Children for science'.
MadelineLindsey: I believe I heard of this book. It made a huge impact in the schooling of England didn't it?
MaryEverest: Yes, I did actually. Which I was pretty proud of myself for ha-ha(she chuckles). The book also had a huge impact in the United States!
MadelineLindsey: Wow thats fantastic, you also invented something for geometry correct?
MaryEverest: Yes, Its called 'Curve Stitching', I loved seeing the progress of children, it really helped them with angles, and spaces.
MadelineLindsey: Thats sounds like something that could've helped me, ha-ha. Didn't you also write another book Mrs.Boole?
MaryEverest: Yes I did, but it took 15 LONG years to get it published due to the controversy of the other book I had wrote with George, but with patience it was published, its called 'The message of Psychic science for Mother and Nurses'.
MadelineLindsey: I have learned a lot of you since we have spoken, and I am very happy to have. Thank you for coming with me tonight, and talking about your great progress in life.
